Pyrenean Mountain Dog Brody Rehomed with Experienced Family

Brody, a six-year-old Pyrenean mountain dog weighing approximately 66kg (10st), has finally found his permanent home after being listed for adoption by Animal Concern Cumbria in December. The dog, known for his large size and friendly nature, drew significant attention with hundreds of adoption inquiries coming not only from the UK but also across Europe and the United States. Brody stands about 6ft (1.82m) tall on his hind legs and consumes over 1kg (2.2lb) of food daily, requiring an owner experienced with his breed. Pyrenean mountain dogs are livestock guardians originally bred to protect flocks from predators, and they need regular grooming due to their thick double coats. The new family, based in southern England, has previous experience with the breed, a compatible dog companion, and plenty of land for Brody to roam. Animal Concern Cumbria shared that Brody has quickly settled in and is enjoying his new life, including playing in the snow. The charity emphasized the satisfaction of seeing a successful adoption and the importance of finding suitable homes for dogs with specific needs.
