Orijen Launches App to Help Pet Owners Find Pet-Friendly Trails Across the U.S.
Orijen, a pet food company, has teamed up with the National Park Foundation to launch the Orijen Trails web app, designed to help pet owners find pet-friendly trails in parks across the United States. The app allows users to access trail details, maps, scenic stop suggestions, and ratings, as well as provide information on water availability and calorie estimates for both pets and owners. It covers over 100 national and state parks across all 50 states, with plans to expand through crowdsourced data from local hikers and pet lovers. The app also features a ‘My Pack’ function, where users can log their pets and track past adventures. While mostly dog-friendly, some trails are also open to cats, provided the proper accommodations, such as cat packs and leashes, are made. The partnership underscores Orijen’s commitment to promoting healthy and active lifestyles for pets, with the app helping owners create lasting outdoor experiences with their pets.
